I was actually considering throwing this on my PC and taking it for a ride until I read that. An OS where the functionality is focused on MYSPACE? SERIOUSLY? Why, Google…?

And now I feel dumb.
So, I referred to Ruby on Rails as a development platform, but in truth, it’s just a set of libraries for the Ruby development platform. Thus, when I said “Ruby on Rails”, I meant “Ruby” I guess. I will most certainly be using Rails, however, as I learn and use the Ruby language.

So, it turns out I forgot to download and install the audio drivers for my PC. Epic battle between man and drivers continues…
Luckily, though, this one seems pretty simple; I already know where to find the drivers (hopefully), and the install for the last driver I got from that place was painless. Here’s to hoping.
