Korean Tech Is Losing Its Cool →
How Korea, a onetime digital trendsetter, became a laggard in an era of smartphones—and amazing apps.
Apple - Countdown To Ten Billion Songs →
In the same way they counted down to 1 billion app downloads from the App Store, Apple is counting down to its 10 billionth song purchase on the iTunes Store. That’s pretty crazy.
John Gruber of Daring Fireball notes:
Interesting perspective: looks like they sell about 100 songs per second.
That’s equally intense when you think about it.

The Facebook Login That Wasn't
I was browsing around Daring Fireball again, and saw John’s post entitled “Facebook Login”. He goes on to show an excellent example of technological ignorance.
Fascinating. ReadWriteWeb has a weblog post that ranks highly in Google’s search results for “Facebook login”. The comments on the post are filled with complaints from confused people who think that this is the new...

鋼の鏈金術師 43話「蟻のひと噛み」 →
Overview: In the snowy north, the soldiers of Fort Briggs engage an invading army and Marcoh leads an attack against monstrous Envy. In Central, an ominous and shocking secret is revealed to Olivier Armstrong.
New episode is up on Funimation! Watching the forces of Drachma get slaughtered by Briggs cannons is always good fun, especially when it’s animated.

鋼の鏈金術師 104 - "The Centre of the World" →
Talk about an amazing cliffhanger. “Father” manages to succeed in his efforts to activate the Amestris-wide transmutation circle, reappearing in what looks to be a rather familiar body.
I won’t spoil the chapter any more than that, but I have to say that this is a must-read. These chapters just keep getting more intense each month! Full Metal Alchemist is easily becoming my...

Disqus Commenting Is Here
True to what I said in my previous blog post, I’m rolling out some updates. The first of these is adding the Disqus commenting system! Now, any article you go to will allow you to comment as a guest or by using one of many different formats: Disqus, Facebook, Twitter, and OpenID.
If anyone is jumping on the “read the Torablog!” bandwagon already (AKA myself and my mother…...

LIVE: The Official Torabu Blog →
Since I revamped my website, one particular section ended up getting cut: the blog. I have always used Tumblr to power my blog, but it ended up that Twitter took dominance of my online habits. It was much easier (and faster) to simply link to an interesting site or article than it was to write something about it.
However, I’ve been trying to make a few changes in my life, including time...
Blizzard Announces StarCraft II Beta This Month
In their Q4 Calendar 2009 Results conference call, Blizzard announced that the StarCraft II beta will be unleashed later this month. Not only is this super awesome, but it’s been a long time coming.
For those who want to be part of the beta, you’ll require a Battle.net account that’s set to opt-in to Blizzard game betas. For StarCraft II in particular, Blizzard provides an...

Fibre Networks? Enter Google.
John Gruber over at Daring Fireball grabbed a quote from the folks over at the Official Google Blog:
Google:
We’re planning to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations across the United States. We’ll deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today with 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home...

The Buzz About Google
Well, as you may or may not know, Google has recently announced its latest creation: Google Buzz.
There’s plenty of buzz about it on social media sites like Twitter, but I’m stuck here wondering, as though I’ve seen something like this somewhere before. Oh, of course! Google Wave. You know, Google’s attempt to re-invent email, which hasn’t exactly taken off like...
犬夜叉 完結編 ED 3「遠い道の先で」
InuYasha Kanketsu-hen「犬夜叉 完結編」Ending 3, “The long road ahead”「遠い道の先で」 performed by Takekawa Ai.
I personally love this ending. Something about it gets me motivated to do stuff — motivation I sorely need right now. Got a bunch of work piling up that I need to crack down on!
Still working on figuring out how to upload HD video to Vidly… it keeps reducing the quality on me, even...
Twiblr?
Seems like Tumblr and Twitter can connect to each other these days. That’s pretty cool. There’s a certain sense of satisfaction when you know that your online accounts talk to each other and interact in functionality.
For example, I could post something on Tumblr, which in turn posts a tweet on Twitter, which then sends that tweet as a status message on my Facebook page. It’s...
France and Germany call for the end of IE6 →
Well, it’s about half a decade slow in coming, but praise the Lord; even national governments are telling people to stop using that blasted, outdated, broken excuse for a browser.
I read this article a while ago and even tweeted it, but I figured it deserved a mention on Tumblr as well.
You know what would be super awesome?
If Tumblr included Vidly to its list of sites that you can post video from. YouTube and Vimeo are nice, sure, but I’m not using them. While not impossible for a web developer like me, it is a little bit of a pain to have to replicate code to display a Vidly video.
犬夜叉 完結編 19話「琥珀の欠片」
In case if you missed it: Here’s the preview for InuYasha Kanketsu-hen「犬夜叉 完結編」Episode 19 - Kohaku’s Shard「琥珀の欠片」
