In their Q4 Calendar 2009 Results conference call, Blizzard announced that the StarCraft II beta will be unleashed later this month. Not only is this super awesome, but it’s been a long time coming.
For those who want to be part of the beta, you’ll require a Battle.net account that’s set to opt-in to Blizzard game betas. For StarCraft II in particular, Blizzard provides an excellent FAQ on their StarCraft II website.
As for the rest of the investor reporting for Q4 2009, you can read their press release on the Activision-Blizzard investors website. Unfortunately, the press release doesn’t mention the beta, probably because it was mentioned for the sake of throwing some red-meat to the consumer base, rather than to impress some corporate investors.
